Hi, I have a honda civic 2018 diesel, recently did a forced regen on it, which was successful but got another fault code P24c6 soot sensor temperature circuit after 2 days 😢, when i checked online I suspect my pm sensor has gone faulty. Does anyone know who sell this sensor cheap? I could find only in hondadirectpart but its £700 plus which I think is a ripoff.

I just cut the end off about 5mm from the hole then drill all the blockage out and just weld the end back on it and grind it back job done.

It very much depends on the engine temps the motor gets to as the hot oil makes the belt degrade much faster. Long journeys high speed etc causes the rot and by the time it shows any sign it's to late as damage has been done. In your particular scenario I would guess most of your travel and mileage consists of runs taking less then 1 hour with at least that inbetween to cool down. Oil has an affect and the particular type can influence the degradation but the enemy is heat for extended periods. So this is an unusual problem that presents at the opposite of normal engine durability expectations. Hence particular users getting far less out of these belts than others. Im no mechanic but have an industrial background in machine tools and have faced similar problems. Oil cooling and an increased capacity made a huge difference to the extent that the wet belts when changed had no indication of degradation only wear.

I had a Merc sprinter that identified as an e-class diesel sedan today... mainly as my scan tools a p.o.s that doesn't cover Sprinters & that was the only way in - but semantics.. Once we'd established it was in fact an E-Class, we got along swimminglyish.. I need a better scan tool, lol.

Landrover dealers are thick as fuck when it comes to there own cars on diagnostics. And still can’t fix it and people put trust in them. We have a car at work that comes up with dpf fault but probably says other faults and limp mode. Landrover changed the turbo and a few weeks later same fault came back. Car has done 150000m discovery sport 2.0l 2015. I wounder if that has the same problem as that
